Jobs are changing with AI. What that means for you.

AI is reshaping entry-level work. Which jobs are shrinking, which are growing, and simple steps to stay hireable.

The short version

AI is good at writing, sorting and summarizing. It is weaker at work that is hands-on, in person or built on trust. Jobs made mostly of routine screen tasks are changing fastest; jobs with people, judgment and physical work are holding up.

Growing

Health care support (medical assistants, patient coordinators, techs), skilled trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), logistics and operations, and public service such as 911 dispatch and court clerks.

Changing fast

Data entry, scripted phone and chat support, simple bookkeeping and entry-level writing. These are not gone, but the starter versions are shrinking. If you are in one, aim for the part that needs judgment or people.

Stay hireable

Learn to use AI tools in your field and have one real example ready for interviews. Employers increasingly keep the people who use AI well, not the ones who avoid it.
